HIGH-EFFICIENCY TOILETS
& SHOWER HEADS

Supplies are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.  Street parking only, walk to registration.  Be prepared to wait in line.

  • Maximum of two (2) free toilets per household.
  • All East Valley Water District (EVWD) customers are eligible to participate in this program. Toilets must be installed at a residential address serviced by (EVWD).
  • You must bring a water bill and photo ID. The water bill must show the name of the water company and account number for the address where the the HETs will be installed. Receipts, cancelled checks, homeowners association bills or mobile home park utility bills do not qualify as the water bill.
  • Residential addresses that have previously participated in the program and received two (2) free toilets at any time in the past, are not eligible to participate again.

FAQS

+ What type of toilet does this program provide?

+ What is a "rough-in?"

A rough-in is the distance between the wall behind the toilet and the center of the bolts that hold the toilet to the floor. By acquiring the correct rough-in measurement you will be able to make sure that the new toilet will fit in the space you have. Do not include any molding in your measurement. See diagram here.

+ What is a banjo counter / obstruction above a toilet?

A banjo countertop is a counter that sits inches above a toilet tank. Other obstructions can include vanity counters, ADA railing or built-in shelf spacing. In order to ensure that your new toilet will fit properly it is important to measure the spacing between the floor and the bottom of the obstruction. See diagram here.

+ How do I dispose of my old toilet(s)?

The program does not inlcude disposal of your old toilets. To dispose of your old toilet, please contact your local waste department to schedule a large item pickup.

+ How many days do I have to install the new toilet(s)?

The new toilets must be installed at your address serviced by Valley County Water District within forty-five (45) days from receipt date.

+ Who will contact me for the installation inspection?

A representative from East Valley Water District will call you to schedule an inspection before coming to your home.

+ Do you have ADA compliant toilets available?

No, the toilets provided are ADA height but they are NOT ADA compliant.

+ What size are the toilets?

+ Can I receive more than two toilets?

No, customers can only receive a maximum of two (2) toilets per service address.

+ The water bill shows my account number and address but not my name. Can I still pick up a toilet?

The person picking up the rain barrel must have an ID that matches the service address and/or the account holder name on the water bill.

+ Can I show my bank statement in lieu of a water bill?

To participate in the program we need to verify the service address and the account number for East Valley Water District. If your bank statement does not provide the information required, a water bill must be presented.

+ The water bill is under a family member's name (wife, husband, parent, etc). Can I pick up the toilet for them?

The person picking up the toilet must have an ID that matches the service address and/or the account holder name on the water bill.

+ I rent my house and the water bill is not in my name. Can I still pick up a toilet?

The person picking up the toilet must have an ID that matches the service address and/or the account holder name on the water bill.

+ I own a house but the water bill is not in my name. Can I still pick up a toilet?

The person picking up the toilet must have an ID that matches the service address and/or the account holder name on the water bill.
